Chapter 2

Valentina D’Efilippo is an award-winning information designer working across formats and sectors.

Based in London, Valentina has been enjoying working with public organisations, start-ups, and global brands – pursuing imaginative and compelling visual language. Her practice focuses on information design and data visualisation and her work takes many forms – from theatre production and exhibitions, to editorial content and interactive platforms.

In 2013, she published The Infographic History of the World. The book is the result of a collaboration with data-journalist James Ball. Available in nine different languages, it is the first attempt to illustrate history and human evolution through data visualisations and infographic storytelling.

Valentina also leads creative workshops attended by students and professionals alike, including a series of Masterclasses with The Guardian.
